Five little angels decorate the tree with their collection of stars and joy. Add a touch of joy to your festive home with this One Day In May, redwork project.

Inspired by a love of illustration for children and vintage advent calendars, “Joyful Angels” is a One Day In May project featuring redwork stitchery. The candles and stars are highlighted with silver, and a stitched silver ribbon winds it’s way down the Christmas tree to add a touch of festive sparkle. The tree, lower panel and borders are decorated with stars, made with double-sided fabric .The stars are only partly stitched down, allowing them to sit up from the background and cast a small shadow, adding a dimensional element to the design.
